Q. is downloading from pirate bay illegal? I heard that they are under no legal jurisdiction that would prosocute them. What does that mean for people in america who download files from there hosting site?

A. It's a sharing site, but anything being shared is illegal since they're breaking copyright laws. Any Software, music, videos, pictures, movies and documents that are copyright are illegal (pretty much everything is copyright), this is why the name of the site is called piratebay, because the software has been pirated which means it has been cracked.

A. um i think their on a zip file or on a rar file that u haven extracted yet or your trying to watch them while their not finish... if thats not the case maybe you dont have the program that supports those video codec files um heres the program that i use to run all kind of video codecs

A. You can put them on your ipod by using a video converter and converting them to mp4 and then adding them to your iTunes and then dragging the video to your iPod. I've never burned them to a disk so I wouldn't know how to help you with that. I The converter that i use is xilisoft which is very good. EDIT: I just got a DVD burner. So i kan help you wit the burning them to disk kuestion now. First you will need a dvd burner. blank dvd-r or dvd-rw and a burning program. IF you have all of those then once you download the movie then download convertxtodvd once you have that just simply add the file to convertxtodvd and click convert and it will convert it and burn the movie on your DVD

A. It was one of the best sites a long time ago, until recently it was a decent page. But they were bought out after the lost their lawsuit. They sold to a game company who plans on making it a legal download -pay/subscription page. I wouldn't even visit the homepage anymore. Stay away from them. The are only Pirate Bay by logo/name now.

A. Limewire takes over the torrent file association by default, so you need to disable that option: You can set the explorer file association through BitTorrent at Options>Preferences>Gener al. On that screen is a button to press to associate BitTorrent and a box to tick to have BitTorrent check the association on startup. A. well i don't believe you can burn onto a cd and watch it on your dvd player. but if you meant to write dvd then i can help you. All you have to do is download dvd flick- a totally free program which will encode the file and burn it onto a dvd so that it can be played from a dvd player. there are tuturials on youtube on how to use dvd flick

Q. Hi, I normally use Vuze to download shows etc and I can see where to stop my downloading "seeding" in the library section. I have just recently downloaded a movie from Pirate Bay and was wondering where I can see what is being seeded? or does it just seed from where it downloaded to on my hard drive? A. You're using the wrong program, I would recommend UTorrent, it's a lot better as in with connections and bandwith consumptions. You can easily see what parts are being downloaded at what kB/s and how fast you're uploading when it's done. Basically download Utorrent and use that as your default torrent program and your question will be answered. Use Mininova.org to download your stuff if you don't know websites that host torrents.

A. Their are two things that could happen if you downloaded things from there. The first is that it will simply fill up your computer, if the movies are large enough and you download enough of them. The more serious thing is the possibility that the file you dowload could contain a virus (or several viruses for that matter). If you do go ahead and download stuff from that site, be sure to only download things that many other people have used before you, and make sure that they haven't reported it containing a virus in their review.
